Standards

The discipline of PM must have rigorous standards and guidelines to define the professional work of PM personnel. Thus, at the heart of PMAN is the Association of Project Management (APM) Body of Knowledge www.apm.org.uk; forty-two knowledge areas required to manage any successful project. We promote the use of the Body of Knowledge through qualifications, accredited training, research, and events.

In the coming years, PMAN will also work with members to establish standards unique to the cultural makeup of Nepal. These standards will be incorporated into Nepal's first National Competence Baseline (NCB).

PMAN aspires to contribute towards the goal of International Project Management Association (IPMA) that provides the conduit for an authentic voice for national PM associations at an international level. We are striving to become Nepal's representative in IPMA and offer the four-level IPMA international certification.

Like the IPMA, PMAN works to advocate for the profession. We aim to promote the standards and profession of PM to businesses and organizations across the country. We believe that hiring trained, professional project managers is a key opportunity for Nepal's organizations to promote growth and meet targets.
