PM Workshop Completed in a High Note
PMAN, in association with MAN, concluded a successful 5-day Project Management workshop. The historic workshop conducted between Sept 15 and Sept 20, 2010, engaged four IPMA coaches and 28 local participants. There were five gues speakers who have dedicated their professions in project management and shared valuable lessons to all the participants.
The participants were educated on IPMA Competency Baseline (ICB) and focused on ICBs that were choosen in a cluster-basis by the participants. In the last two days of the workshop, the training were conducted in actual sites where participants practice PM: namely Under Previledged Children's Education Program (UCEP) and Tribhuvan International Airport. In addition, requirement for IPMA certifications were also senstized to participants.

PMAN in 19th Global Symposium 2011, December 5-7, New Delhi, India
PMAN, as one of the regional IPMA member associations which collaborates in the region through APFPM, participated in the historic 3 day 19th Global Symposium with the theme “Festival of Thinkers and Doers” that began in New Delhi on 5th Dec. 2011. PMAN president Mr. Tikajit Rai and Ex-Officio member Mr. Prabesh Aryal represented PMAN in the symposium.

PMAN, as an active participant for years, participated in the 18th Global Symposium 2010. Around 600 people from Indian companies and educational institutes from the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Nepal, USA attended the Symposium.

PMAN is organizing IPMA International Project Excellence Award in March, 2011. As one of the take-aways for PM practitioners, educators and enthusiasts in 2011's many PM activities, with the certification and PMAN membership, one gets to evaluate international projects in terms of its excellence.

The Launch of Asia Pacific Federation of Project Management
The new Asia Pacific Federation of Project Management (APFPM) was successfully launched in Hong Kong on Saturday 24th April 2010. The launch was celebrated at the Annual Dinner of the Hong Kong Institute of Project Management. The night included Hong Kong luminaries from industry and senior government postings, Federation meeting delegates from Hong Kong, India, China, Nepal, Japan, United States, Indonesia, and Australia and 120 or so other guests....

First, Project Management Association of Nepal (PMAN) is a fairly new establishment that promotes the profession of project management (PM) in Nepal.
